One of the goals of the Greater Cleveland Long Term Care Workforce Initiative is to promote the development of career ladders for direct care workers. Most facilities and agencies provide continuing education classes for their direct care workers on site. Few organizations within Ohio are developing formal career ladders for direct care workers.
